7 editions published between 2004 and 2008 in French and held by 163 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

(Somabec)
Ingénierie de l'innovation by Vincent Boly( Book )

3 editions published in 2016 in French and held by 76 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

3 editions published in 2009 in French and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2005 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The innovation represents a major process in poli ci es of development. Growth in the capacity of companies to innovate becomes an essential action. However it is important to evaluate if the carried out actions to increase it are efficient. The objective of research is to establish the basis of a metrology of innovation to measure the capacity of industrial systems to innovate. Thus it will be possible to objectify the evolution of innovation piloting practices. The Potential Innovation Index (PII) is a methodological proposal based of aggregation techniques. Its construction highlights the concern of considering at the same time the external and internal parameters that can affect the result. A comparison of results is made between PII and other multicriteria methodologies like Electra and AHP. An experimentation with a panel is made and a typology of innovating systems is proposed

2 editions published in 2004 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In a turbulent and constantly changing environment, the customer has become the company's most important asset. Today, to outperform the market, a company must offer its customers better value than its rivals. Furthermore, customers have become less easy to satisfy and more unpredictable. They also seem to play a more active role in the product design process. These two points constitute the basis of our research work. We propose to answer the following question : "What can a firm do to integrate the customer in the product design process (NPD) in order to ensure a better acceptability by the market ?". The integration of customers in the NPD process constitutes the subject of our study. For this purpose, we carried out guidelines of customers implication practices that a firm can engage to integrate its customers in the product design process. We used this guidelines to investigate the impact of customers implication on the product acceptability by the market. We hypothesized that customers implication practices may be dependent on two dimensions : the different customers implication degrees and the different objectives followed to integrate them. Besides, we hypothesized that customers implication practices' effect on the product acceptability may depend on firms. Our substantive hypotheses were tested with data from a national survey of 47 companies, using statistical analysis by categorizing, MCA (Multiple Correspondence Analysis), and cross-classifying. These companies operate in 4 different technology fields, and are of various sizes ranging from SMEs to major groups. The results indicated that customers implication practices which suppose the most effective customer implication, are those allowing a better product acceptability by the market, as expected. This study offers important theoretical and managerial implications. It is one of the first to rely on customers implication guidelines as a basis for examining how customers integration practices engaged during the NPD process can moderate the product acceptability on qualitative outcomes. We provide new insights for managers to consider when and how integrating customers to improve the chances of an innovation project reaching a successful outcome

Évaluation des processus d'innovation by N'Doli Assielou( Book )

2 editions published in 2008 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2008 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Nowadays, companies must offer new products continuously and take into consideration new available technologies in order to satisfy more and more exigent and diversified customers. Therefore, it is essential for a company to know what are the needs of the stakeholders interested in its product. The objective of this PhD work is to propose a new method to analyze the need in order to improve the new product definition process in a firm. This tool is a part of a methodology for innovative project management and it is useful before the elaboration of the specification of the new product. The proposed method has four phases: description of the stakeholders' environment by the RARe technique (Resources-Activities- Results), determination of needs by the realization of four types of operations on the stakeholder's resources then evaluation and classification of needs according to the Kano model and finally comparison of several products concepts. To achieve this method, a bibliographical work on the notion of need was realized. This bibliographical research also allowed us to define the specifications of a new method for need analysis. Hence, the choice of the RARe method was justified because it is based on the observation of the stakeholders' activities. To classify their needs, we used the model of Kano, which distinguishes various existing needs: basic, one dimensional, attractive and neutral. We worked out a calculation of indicators by means of a matrix formulation allowing to classify needs and to compare concepts of products. This method thus constitutes a decision-making tool at the beginning of the conception process

1 edition published in 2020 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2011 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

The Technical Centre of Mechanical Engineering is one of the centres of technological competence in the Mechanical Industry. Its objective is to identify the process of management of the technology needed for its activity in innovation support. After having characterised mechanical industry in a meso economic approach, we propose a model of activity of the technological competence centre, illustrated by the Cetim example. On this basis, innovation management is analysed as a formalised operational process of the innovation support activity in the geographical and technological territory of the technological competence centre, using tools and processes of technology management. The process from idea to finished product is split into 3 steps: idea to object conception, feasibility regarding a first market target and industrialisation. This sequential model was completed by a global model which linked strategy to the implementation of an innovated project.R&D process is composed of 4 steps of a repeated cycle: technological marketing, management of the project portfolio, R&D production and enhanced value. Indicators help in evaluating performance on the 4 axes of the activity model using codification of innovation projects in the information system. This can be also used to follow core competence evolution

1 edition published in 2018 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

As companies grow, they become less flexible. Regulated processes allow the development of high quality products on existing products. In return, these processes limit the introduction of novelty and limit the potential for radical innovations. In definition, a radical innovation introduces a major increase in a existing system or calls into question the codes that are established. But, the culture of processes set at the heart of the mature companies limits this possibility. Yet, in the context of radical innovation, companies must have the opportunity to research, experiment new ideas in parallel of the standard processes, and implement them under very different conditions. Our case study concerns a mature company whose business is governed by regulated processes. Centennial, our pilot company want to treat two great challenges to safe future: economic and social. The economic stakes of our pilot company are to develop radical innovations to ensure its sustainability and development. Social issues involve using modern work methods to satisfy employees, to attract new employees and to make the most of their skills. Our study of literature enables us to create a new model: the UX-FFE model (Front User Fuzzy Front Ends). Implemented in our pilot company, it proposes a response to this central objective. Indeed, it combines the User Experience (UX) and Fuzzy Front-End (FFE) approaches to take into account the social aspect by caring about the experience salaries experiments when they innovate and others by ensuring that this model allows for the creation and validation of radical innovation concepts

1 edition published in 2015 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This research is about the improvement of product portfolio sustainability performance and innovation. It's about a research-action accomplished at CHANEL Parfum Beauté. Our actions were conducted in the “packaging purchase, development and innovation” department. The research deals with the integration of eco-design in the new product development, the innovation via the use of eco-materials, the integration of social and environmental criteria in purchasing activities and also strategic and managerial issues for satisfying stakeholders, for setting objectives, for monitoring performance and developing competences. We propose a model that takes into account simultaneously structuring and structural dimensions to have a global approach for the improvement. The structuring dimension includes all processes that determine objectives, criteria and the sustainability performance and innovation of the product portfolio. These processes insure continuous improvement and learning. The structural dimension is related to the resources including actors, methods, tools and information technologies. This structuring and structural model was completed and discussed through four experimentations. Three complementary propositions have been formalized to make the model operational and include: detailed description of the main structural resources, a progressive implementation scenario that links objectives to the available resources, and a global process for improvement. The uniqueness of this research comes from the global vision of the product portfolio improvement in the simultaneous investigation in both structuring and structural dimensions and finally, its focus on luxury packaging

1 edition published in 2006 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

[Résumé en anglais] Within the framework of the management of project, for a bigger efficiency, it is important to know the criteria which help the actors and the carriers of project to direct better the future of their project. Our work aim to the design and the validation of the process of a project of change. The design of the criteria was elaborated with the functional analysis and the decision-making analysis of every element constituting the process of project. These criteria so defined were validated by pooled stemming from the company and from the health to determine their capacity to stabilize the project in its phase of implementation (robustness) or to impulse of new projects (emergence). An analysis of the results between the health and the company, allowed us to put in evidence the correctness of our hypothesis by characterizing a nwnber of criteria that influencing the future of the project. The knowledge of these criteria is thus a supplementary help to pilot the projects in complex organization in health sector and the company

1 edition published in 2015 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This thesis is devoted to the representation of architectural problems and contradictions in the early phase of architectural design process. It also focuses on its potential agency to generate new concepts and innovative solutions. This thesis aims to contribute to the research on knowledge transfer from TRIZ to architectural design methodologies. It is a cross-disciplinary study on the applicability of IDM-TRIZ, its ontology and formalism in the early phases of an architectural design. The main objective of this dissertation is to evaluate the contributions of the concept of contradiction of the TRIZ theory to problem and contradiction statement in architectural projects. The secondary objective of this study is to evaluate the contribution of the TRIZ techniques and their tools to architectural contradiction solving. Thereby, the expected scientific contributions of this research is to examine the concept of contradiction as a conceptual strategy for seeking and structuring the information about a project and as a model for interpretation and representation of the objectives, constraints, and alternative solutions in the early phases of the architectural design process. In our empirical study, the IDM-TRIZ method is applied to an architectural program of a real project and has produced two results: A) a structured set of the objectives, constraints, requirements and the alternative solutions of this program presented as contradiction by using Problem Graph, B) a set of ten concepts of solution to resolve one of the contradictions related to the problem identified as the core problem of the project. These results were evaluated through a series of semi-structured interviews. This evaluation shows that I) it is possible to represent the objectives, constraints, and alternative solutions of an architectural project as contradiction by the Problem Graph (with 92.3% positive response for the elements concerning form and function, and 85% for those concerning economy and time), II) the contribution of the Problem Graph to the program qualities, such as clarity of problem statement; traceability of problems and the entirety of the Problems space, is significant, and, III) the TRIZ techniques and their tools could contribute to concept generation in the early phases of architectural designs. The evaluation is different for each concept, but it attests the relevance of the concepts (with an average of 58%) and their interest (with an average of 67%). The findings of this thesis discusses the advantages and the disadvantages of the use of TRIZ concept of contradiction as a conceptual strategy for building the Problem space in the early phases of architectural designs. The conclusion presents some thoughts on TRIZ limitations for an architectural endeavor as well as some perspectives for further research aiming integrating the TRIZ into current research in architectural design. Also, some further developments in the IDM-TRIZ which allows better adapting to architectural practice are discussed

1 edition published in 2015 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

[...] This thesis was defined in the DEFI project to characterize the notion of efficiency in Inventive Design, and develop the metrics of inventive-design. The objective of this proposal is to define inventive performance indicators to enhance the creative capacity in the automotive industry. The research is focused on the NPD projects of R&D department, which are known as the responsible of technological evolutions. In this respect, the main elements of design performance, and the main criteria of inventiveness are studied and merged together. The inventive performance of a R&D team is concerned with the efficiency of their activities to create inventive designs when they apply existing knowledge, and/or use creative resources. This analyzes the relationship between what is received and what is applied or consumed to achieve higher inventiveness degree. The measures of inventiveness are based on the evaluation of novelty, resourcefulness, and usefulness of what comes out from design activities. All the evaluation methods developed in this work are integrated into a concrete system as IDPMS (Inventive Design Performance Measurement System), and an initial version of the IDPMS application is developed, by which R&D and project managers can observe the inventive performance of their NPD projects. So this work is categorized in Engineering Science for specifying performance indicators of inventive design activities. In recent years, our laboratory (LGeCo) focused on developing theoretical methods, then appropriate tools to accompany the industrial changes from the era of quality to the era of innovation. In this regard, this thesis provides the missing link of this effort by evaluating the main characteristics of inventions in engineering level to help companies enter into a logic performance along their innovation projects

1 edition published in 2013 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
