Discerner les différentes composantes de la religion permettra de saisir la portée de l'analyse que mène Haddâd. Quelle dimension porte sa conception de l'Islam ? Père Youssef Dûrra El-Haddad, surnommé le Maître (al-Ustâdh) est né en 1913 à Yabrûd Kalamûn en Syrie. Au Liban, il s'est consacré à la recherche et à l'écriture. Maître Haddad publiera des articles et écrira des livres jusqu'après sa mort en 1979. Sa consécration aux études coraniques et au rapport islamo-chrétien attire sur lui l'attention depuis les années de formation à Jérusalem, et devient à la base d'une œuvre enrichissante en langue arabe. Maître Haddad réfléchit sur l'Islam selon deux axes : 1. d'abord il cherche une nouvelle "définition" de l'Islam autrement dit il l'aborde d'une façon nouvelle et avec de nouveaux critères. 2. En deuxième lieu il pose l'assise d'une nouvelle stratégie du dialogue islamo-chrétien afin de proposer un credo commun. Le point culminant, de sa recherche est: Comment dialoguer entre musulmans et chrétiens et professer un credo unique ? Comment dire le rapprochement et en quels termes ? Comment considérer le dialogue et sur quelle base ? Pour Haddad, la référence commune et le critère ultime sont textuels. Confrontons donc les deux sources d'Ecrits avant d'aborder les points conflictuels. Mais Comment va-t-il faire pour atteindre ce but ? Comment atteindre la foi musulmane primitive ? Selon Maître Haddad, Les textes interrogés peuvent révéler le point de départ d'un dialogue voire d'un rapprochement entre les deux expressions de la foi. Il est donc bénéfique de se rencontrer sur un terrain d'entente. Haddad interroge donc l'ultime référence, le Coran, afin de mettre en relief l'importance de la Bible, Torah et Evangile, selon les écrits musulmans. Comment ramener l'Islam et le mettre avant le christianisme alors qu'il est historiquement après lui ? Ainsi, l'Islam pourrait-il être reconduit à découvrir ses sources chrétiennes. Ce déplacement des bases du dialogue est un des fondements sur lesquels s'appuie l'œuvre de Haddâd. La question qui se pose est la suivante: Comment situer sa théologie de l'Islam et comment classer sa vision ? Comment considère-t-il l'Islam, et qu'est ce qui différencie sa vision des autres approches de cette religion ? Following the description of geographical and historical conditions (chap. 1 and 2), explanations are given about vocabulary and technology in chapter 3. Both a critical analysis of archaeological publications and an inventory of 158 settlements of southern Gaul, compose chapter 4. The purpose of chapter 5 is to give the state of the question, in an analytical way: domestic architecture is examined from foundations to decoration, in order to present all the uses of earth. Moulded and solid earth walls, pise, wattle and daub, filled frameworks and mudbricks for the walls; pavings and mud-coatings; roofs and ceilings; fixed furniture. Many references to architectures of other Mediterranean civilizations occur in the text; so do comparisons with mediaeval, modern and present documents which may enlighten the archaeological remains. Based on the observation of tenuous remains, this work intends to contribute to the general story of technics, by always replacing the technical experiences in their historical and social contexts. Chapter 6 contains a provisional synthesis and leads to several directions for next researches on earthen architecture. An additional part includes the descriptives of the 11 most important sites and the models of different check-lists for built structures. Bibliography gives more than one thousand titles. The book contains 251 illustrations and 12 plates

The thesis Functional and Structural Features of Russian Speech of Ethnic Germans in the Sociolinguistic Space in Germany aims to provide a detailed description of a sociolinguistic space determined by the presence of Russian immigrants of German ancestry in today's United Germany. The object of the research is the spoken and written varieties issued from spontaneous utterances of Russian speech in the Russian speaking community of said Germans in present day Northern Germany, particularly in the district of Schleswig-Holstein. The purpose of the current thesis is to identify and to classify the most important and regular traits of the spoken Russian of ethnic Germans with respect to phonetics, lexis and morphology under the conditions of permanent influence exercised by the German language and culture and finally, to reveal different types of Russian language varieties in this context in connection with the non-institutional communicative situations of Russian and German bilingualism. The answers obtained within the inquiry conducted in Germany in the form of questionnaires distributed to 80 Russian speaking ethnic Germans and during spontaneous interviews as well as with the help of data gathered from the Russian and German Internet-sites in 2008-2009, formed the empirical basis of the research. The chosen methodology is descriptive: interviews, questionnaires and the statistical treatment of data, with the inclusion of contextual and semantic analysis. By conducting this piece of research, it highlighted that the functioning of the Russian language within the limits of its historical distribution and under the conditions of its permanent contact with German language, has led to the creation of a particular sociolinguistic space which is specified by its ethnic heterogeneity. The consequence being, this space cannot be defined as a diaspora. Nevertheless, it possesses a significant variety of highly distinctive features and its solidarity is assured by the Russian language which contributes to the formation of a specific linguistic identity

This thesis aims to provide knowledge of the world of the dead in pit graves in antique Syria between the 1st and the 8th century AD. The area under consideration includes the region of the Orient located between Anatolia, Mesopotamia, Arabia, Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea. This work tries to characterize the location of pit graves, to establish a typological and chronological classification of the funeral architecture of this type of grave and to determine the funeral rites practiced: inhumation or cremation, individual or group, collective or multiple, primary or secondary burial. It is also a question of illustrating the alignment and the positioning of the bodies placed in the graves: the position of the trunk, the head, the lower and upper limbs. This work furthermore attempts to analyze the location of grave objects and the order in which they were deposited. Beyond these archaeological and taphonomic analyses, the objective is to determine whether there is an evolution or a variation in the funeral practices between different geographical zones or during a particular period. It is also a question of verifying whether the whole of Syria belonged to the Greco-Roman culture in the field of the funeral practices or if, on the contrary, the entire region or only certain geographical zones of Syria, remained apart from this culture

Descendant of slaves, Felix Eboue was born in the middle of the lower middle class of Cayenne (Guiana) in 1884. He finished high school in Bordeaux and his graduate studies in Paris: he graduated from the "Ecole coloniale" in 1908. At his request, he was assigned in Oubangui-Chari (AEF colony). It remains in the bush twenty two years before becoming Chief (1931). He was appointed to various positions: Secretary General of Martinique (1932-1934), Secretary General of the French Sudan (1934-1936), governor of Guadeloupe (1936-1938), governor of Chad (1938-1940). In the summer of 1940, he chose the side of the Resistance with de Gaulle. The rallying Chad gives the leader of Free France, a French territory in Africa, a strategic importance. In November 1940, de Gaulle appointed Governor General of the AEF in Brazzaville and Companion of the Liberation. Until February 1944, thanks to his mastery of the colonial administration, he manages people and resources of the AEF for the benefit of Free France and the Allies. Exhausted and ill, he died in Cairo in May 1944. The memory State seizes his memory to make an icon rapidly enters the Pantheon in May 1949. But Felix Eboue is not limited to the myth: it is an iconic character of the Third Republic, he is a man rooted in his time by his membership in networks of power and ideas. Its specificity is to be hoped reform the colonial system and have believed it was possible to fight against the prejudice of color against racism on behalf of the values of the Republic. If he was a pioneer, this is the sport that was for him an ideal tool for the integration and development of the individual

La thèse propose d'éclairer les trajectoires et les œuvres d'artistes survivants des camps nazis, français ou installés en France après la guerre, leur tentative de transmettre l'expérience de la déportation et du génocide ou au contraire leur volonté de fuir ces thématiques, les langages plastiques et l'iconographie empruntés, les déclencheurs mémoriels et les éventuelles mutations des choix de chacun pour témoigner, représenter, remémorer durant cinquante ans. Quelques rares artistes ont eu l'opportunité de créer in situ : nous étudions également les motivations, les conditions de création et les spécificités de ces dessins des camps. Après 1945, entre mémoire, révolte et résilience, les artistes de ce corpus, déportés pour faits de résistance ou au titre des persécutions et de la mise en œuvre de la solution finale, ont dû mener une lutte intérieure contre les douloureuses réminiscences des camps et parfois un combat militant pour diffuser leur message face aux offensives antisémites et négationnistes. La complexité de la transfiguration en termes plastiques du traumatisme a suscité doutes et réflexions : transmettre sans trahir, témoigner sans renoncer à l'art. Les peintres, sculpteurs et graveurs de ce corpus n'ont en en effet jamais cessé de se définir prioritairement comme des artistes : l'essence et la portée universelle de la création, ainsi que les références tutélaires de l'histoire de l'art ont épaulé les artistes dans ce processus cathartique. Si les cadavres, corps anonymes et suppliciés, peuplent l'univers visuel de l'après-guerre, les artistes rescapés convoquent les disparus et réinsufflent chair et individualité aux êtres aimés, figurés souffrants, combattants ou tendres, mais dignes et debout. Notre objet d'étude se concentre également sur les modalités et les formes évolutives de la rencontre entre ces œuvres liées à la mémoire de la déportation et la France, de l'après-guerre aux commémorations du cinquantième anniversaire de la libération des camps : la diffusion auprès du public français à l'occasion d'expositions individuelles, collectives ou de salons ; la communication autour de ces problématiques dans les catalogues, les cartons d'expositions et les publications ; la réception des œuvres à travers la presse, les acquisitions publiques et les décorations honorifiques, ainsi que l'accueil spécifique des associations de déportés et de la communauté juive avec notamment la création du premier Musée d'art juif français

If the theatre is a place where a language in which the poet naturally belongs is created, we cannot avoid noting that the dramatist of the 2000's, paradoxically, is finding it hard to locate his place in the theatre and in the society of his time. Faced with institutional lukewarm support, with a distrusting public and a general lack of understanding of their role, the dramatists of today are trying to make their voices heard, and do not hesitate to demand that public bodies support their rights. This work proposes to concentrate on a cross-disciplinary examination of the place and function of the dramatist. It will do this by positing that he is a human entity that is evolving within a concrete artistic and social milieu. After tracing the trajectory of the authorial figure and the evolution of the concept of the dramatist in the history of the theatre, we will concentrate on the various aspects that today make up the identity of the author, that define his sociocultural profile, and that determine his place within the theatre. We will initially focus on the current image of the author seen as a combative artist and as an enlightened mediating figure who is close to his public. Then we will take on the question of the author's professional status. We will then concentrate on the recent phenomenon which presents dramatists as a collective group. The study of the concrete and physical place occupied today by authors in the theatre, and above all the analysis of the principal modes by which the author is integrated (directing-associating) and of the relationships he has with his partners in theatrical creativity (director, actor, public), these will allow us to measure the advantages and limits of his presence within the theatre. Likewise, the representation of his works in the context of subsidized theatre, in the context of private theatre and of amateur companies, the observance of the structures, associations, festivals and other demonstrations that put the dramatist at the centre of their projects, and finally the study of the different ways to propagate and valorize theatrical writing (command performances, resident artists, play reading committees, writing workshops), these will complete this research project. Given our determination to go beyond the world of theatre, we will also examine the current place occupied by the dramatist as a mediating, editorial and scholarly force. Finally, the study of the writing and the analysis of the creative processes of dramatists, followed by an overview of the esthetic and formal tendencies that characterize modern writing, will offer a new way of looking at the way in which authors view their art and will offer a new perspective on the ways in which they contribute to the renewal of dramatic writing

L'ambition de notre thèse est de mettre au jour des aspects de la spiritualité et de la dévotion des hospitaliers et des templiers, impliquant la constitution d'un corpus fiable. Une historiographie des ordres de l'Hôpital Saint-Jean et du Temple doit être rigoureuse, avant d'étudier par thèmes l'iconographie des membres du corpus, permettant les comparaisons entre un site et un autre. Volontiers interdisciplinaire, on découvrira des analogies frappantes entre l'art monumental historié et le mobilier liturgique byzantin, limousin ou mosan. Il ressort de notre enquête que les hospitaliers de Saint-Jean, à l'instar des templiers, ont particulièrement été à la pointe des débats théologiques des sacrements de leur époque, et ont adopté sans réserve le dogme de la virginité mariale. Enfin, l'homogénéité du contenu des programmes -tantôt romains, tantôt byzantinisants, mais toujours militants- laisse entrevoir une politique concertée -mais par qui ?- à la tête de ces deux ordres

This study of the aristocratic residences of the ancient county of Astarac results from works done between 2003 and 2011. It is part of general survey of the medieval fortresses of Midi-Pyrénées which started in 1994 and aims at evaluating the patrimony of this region. The main purpose was an inventory of fortresses such as mottes, castral platforms, moated sites and ringworks and so aristocratic residences as towers, salas and towers-salas. It shows that the southern part of the Gers department witness the implantation of a number of fortified sites seigniorial and aristocratic residences between the X century and the XVI century. A list of more 320 sites, scattered over 10 cantons was thus drawn up. This work has been completed according to examinations of written documents. An historic work of the ancient county of Astarac and the seigniorial power has been realized to identify proprietary's statute. Informations from field researches and archival sources made possible an assessment of the populating and the county's organization

The theatre of Bulla Regia is one of the best preserved in Tunisia. Its study needs to take in consideration the monumental context constituted by the two "esplanades" situated to the south and the west and linked to it. The first part of this study concerns the theatre itself. It includes the surveys of the structures, a precise description of the remains, and the registration of the scattered blocs. It concerns the functioning of the monument and its architectural restitution. The monument have been interpreted and restituted by comparison with other well-known roman theatres mainly situated in Africa. The study presents restitution drawings in plan, elevation and section and a computing model. It has demonstrated the existence of two successive states. The limits and the caracteristics of the two states have been studied. The superposition of the new façade of the theatre with the north street is the consequence of an extension of the building. The second part concerns the study of the monumental context linked to the theatre. It begins by a technical chapter giving a key for the interpretation of the whole sector. It gives a clear definition and the caracteristics of the numid walls by opposition to the roman ones. This is fundamental to restitute the chronological evolution of the complex. The study examines afterwards all the temples situated to the south: it gives a whole survey of the remains, a study of the scattered blocs and an architectural restitution for each monument. A relative dating of these monuments has been exposed. It also has been proposed the restitution of a numid temple (temple B) according to the study of its remains and their iconography (representations on coins). In the last part, have been discussed three possible hypotheses concerning the probable function of the monumental complex (a great sanctuary, a great gymnasium in the Greek tradition or to consider that the first state of the complex corresponded to a palace). The complex would have included a residential part (esplanade B) and a sacred one (esplanade A) including the theatre. The results of this research overcome largely the interest of a study limited to a theatre. They in light on the function and evolution of a major part of the city and reveal the existence of a program particularly scarce in Africa (a royal residence). The study gives an accurate survey of the monuments and a deep interpretation of this complex. It does arouse important questions worth to encourage the realization of excavations allowing confirming and consolidating the proposed hypothesis. Its underlines the major interest of this sector and can favor the initiatives that would help its preservation and presentation

L'objet du travail est d'offrir une analyse littérale du discours poétique de César Vallejo dans Trilce et de mettre en évidence les mécanismes par lesquels les structures mises en place sont rendues aptes à signifier. Partant d'une approche essentiellement linguistique des textes, l'analyse se construit autour de trois axes complémentaires: a) la "privatisation" du langage (néologismes, archaïsmes, américanismes, etc.), b) l'effacement comme moteur de la signifiance (à tous les niveaux de l'articulation textuelle: rhétorique, typographique, grammatical, rythmique, architectural, etc.), c)la dominante autoréférentielle du discours vallejien (métalangage et autonymie, symbolique des chiffres, rapports a la bible et a l'alchimie, etc.). This thesis proposes to re-evaluate our knowledge on ornamental furniture dated to the Early Iron Age (800-400 BC) in an area between southwest France and northwest Spain. The wide geographical scope of this work, taking place between two countries with distinct research traditions, is determined by previous results that had been able to highlight several typological similarities between these two regions without precisely drawing their outlines. The objective is to fill this gap and to provide an analysis that is chronological, spatial, cultural and social of the ceremonial furniture. To do this, this thesis is based on a corpus of ornaments from ancient and recent excavations gathered in a relational database. The first stage of analysis is reserved for the implementation of typologies. The taphonomic relationships of these objects and comparisons with similar remains from regions outside our study allow us to update the chronologies known until then. During a second stage, the typo-chronological synthesis of the corpus discovered in the funeral context leads to the recognition of a general chronological phasing. This phasing, which divides the selected interval into three horizons, is marked on the one hand by its proximity to what is knows in south-eastern France, and on the other hand by a slight discrepancy between the phenomena observed on the sites established to the north and south of the Pyrenees. Based on this chronological framework, the spatial analysis of the corpus makes it possible to account for the territorial hold of local movable facies and their evolution over time. The identification of a "Pyrenean" facies and its expansion at the end of the Early Iron Age is one of the major contribution of this study. Finally, during a third and last stage, this thesis proposes an analysis on the wearers of ornamentals. The use of correspondence factor analysis (CFA) allows the recognition of various funeral costumes for which the ornamentals plays a predominant role in the representation of an organized and complex social system

In medieval adventure novels, the theme of escape is not treated in an balanced manner but depends on the gender of the main character. The man who flees is a dishonored coward while the fleeing woman represents a new prototype of heroin. It appears that being on the run involves wandering into an unknown world full of territories which are not always domesticated by men and which are largely unexplored by women, because, traditionally, this outer space represents a male hunting territory. Their changing identities betrayed by the disguise and by the instability of their names, laborious steps marked by the need to earn a living, and sometimes a virility in every challenge, this is what defines these young women who go across the countries as seekers of themselves The feminine at flight which implies an admitted and spoken rebellion, is the only defense against suicide. Thus, giving voice to women in proven narrative patterns, making them coexist alongside the errant knights, it is a perfect way which allows them to settle, or to rediscover, the basis of their identity. Even though they are sometimes assisted in their brutal steps, henceforth they assume the responsibility upon themselves, and gradually acquire an independence which, hitherto, was impossible within the walls of their androcentric fortress. Fleeing gives them also a completely new control of themselves. The women running in the novels of the Middle Ages represents a challenge not only from a narrative aspect but also from a social, private, and human view point. At the time of the rediscovery of the great adventurers of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the emphasis falls on a new mobility of women. Our thesis looks further away and examines nomadic women in medieval romance fiction. This unifying pattern is likely to bring together some known topoi from ancient mythological sources, retrieved by the literature of the Middle Ages. Our aim is to decrypt the architecture of this pattern in order to determine its origins as well
