Uporabnost nekaterih klimatskih indeksov pri oceni toplotnega okolja pri delu v tekstilni in konfekcijski industriji : magistrsko delo by Bernarda Ban( Book )

1 edition published in 1992 in Slovenian and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

The selection of the most suitable climatic index for the assessment of the thermal environment in textile and clothing industries is presented. In the introduction, the heat exchange between the worker's body and the working environment is discussed. The heat equilibrium equation, the effects of clothing on the heat exchange between the body and the working environment, and the effects of local thermal discomfort are given. The second part is a presentation of methods that have been applied to assess the thermal environment. Test groups of female and male workers were selected in three Slovenian textile and clothing manufacturing comapnies: MTT in Maribor - spinning mills I and II, Moda Mura in Gornja Radgona - morning and afternoon shifts, and Moda Mura in Ljutomer - the morning shift. The workers' body height and masse have been measured, as well as their skin temperature. In addition, climatic and nonclimatic quantities have been measured, and climatic indexes have been calculated (NET, PMV, HSI, WBGT). Simulatneously, test group workers have been asked to assess the thermal environment subjectively. Climatic indexes have been compared. The variance analysis, the saturation factor g and correlation coefficents have been used to find the climatic index with the highest corresponding values, or in other words, the climatic index that is most saturated with the other indexes. It has been established that the normal effective temperature (NET) is the most suitable for assessing the thermal environment in clothing and textile industries. At higher temperatures the WBGT index is most recommendable to use. The PMV index also offers correct assessment of the thermal environment
