Ravel selbst war ein exzellenter Pianist, der aber die Aufführungen seiner Werke meistens einem anderen Pianisten (Ricardo Viñes) überlassen hat. In Viñes Fußstapfen tritt in heutiger Zeit der Franzose Bertrand Chamayou, der Ravels komplettes Klavierwerk hier auf 2 CDs mit Perfektion und Leichtigkeit interpretiert
