Simulation in nursing education : from conceptualization to evaluation by Pamela R Jeffries( Book )

11 editions published between 2007 and 2021 in English and held by 511 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Simulation in some form has probably been used as a teaching strategy in nursing education since the first nurse tried to teach the first nursing student how to do a task properly. As our understanding of teaching and learning progressed, so did the simulations that were used. This book, the first of its kind for nurse educators, is the work of an innovative, creative group of nurse educators from all types of programs who wished to share what they learned during the course of a three-year multisite project that tested simulation models and contributed to the refinement of the body of knowledge related to the use of simulation in nursing education. We hope this book provides a pathway to help nursing faculty harness and shape the learning environments of tomorrow in order to create meaningful, realistic, and evidence-based experiences for their students. - Publisher

First words : selected addresses from the National League for Nursing, 1894-1933( Book )

2 editions published in 1991 in English and held by 367 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In preparation of the National League for Nursing's centennial, this book presents a rare opportunity to view the growth and transition of the nursing profession through addresses presented by nursing leaders during the League's first 4 decades. The book focuses on events and ideas specific to the Superintendents' Society, which later became the National League of Nursing Education in 1912 and the National League for Nursing in 1952. Intended for use by nursing educators, the book is appropriate to augment nursing history content in both undergraduate and graduate settings, and it is an excellent reference for those planning workshops, seminars, or discussion groups."--Healio
