The logbook of the ship Alice contains abstracts of multiple voyages between Newburyport, Mass.; Richmond, Va.; Liverpool, England; Boston; Amsterdam; Philadelphia, Penn.; Savannah, Ga; Antwerp, Belgium; Cowes, England; New York; Cádiz, Spain; Bordeaux, France; and Le Havre, France (Aug. 1830 to July 1834). Master was Thomas Hale, Jr.; log keeper was Joshua Hale. It is a partial and incomplete daily log that describes wind, weather, location, port activities, handling cargo, passengers, and shipboard occupations. Also includes one log entry each for: the ship Livery on a voyage from Owlspeagle to Nonentity (undated); the ship Convoy on a voyage from Newburyport to Savannah (Nov. 1834); the ship Legislator on a voyage from Newburyport to Virginia (undated); and the ship Josiah Little on a voyage from Newbury, Mass., to Savannah (undated)

Folder 2: Typescript copy of the log of the yacht Alice, kept by Roger Sherman and illustrated with photographs, details cruises in Georgian Bay, beginning at Frankfort and ending at Mackinac, Michigan.
