The logbook of the ship Edward Everett details two voyages, from Boston to Coquimbo, Valparaiso, Talcahuano, and back to Boston (Aug. 1846-Apr. 1847); and from Boston to New Orleans, Genoa, Leghorn [i.e. Livorno], and back to Boston (May 1847-Feb. 1848). First mate was Caroline Doane; log keeper was Allen H. Knowles. It is a daily log that describes wind, weather, location, and navigation calculations. Bound with the ship Robert C. Winthrop
